Owner/Lead Pastry Chef

I have always had a passion and love for the culinary world.  As a little girl I helped my mom baking breads, pizzas, cakes and cookies.  I can remember decorating my first cake [by myself] for the fourth of July, at the age of 6.  Skipping ahead a few years, at the age of 16 – for Christmas – I received my first How to run your own catering business book and my enthusiasm for the culinary world continued to blossom.

At the age of 19 I enrolled at Texas Culinary Academy – Le Cordon Bleu in the Patisserie and Baking program where I specialized in Wedding Cakes and Chocolate Work; graduating top of the class and Cum Laude.  Upon completing my externship at the Marriott hotel (Dallas, Texas) I returned home to Austin, Texas where I took a job at the Barton Creek Resort and Spa.

Now at the age of 22 I am embarking on the dream I have always had; creating works of confectionery art.  At My Cake World, we are here to serve you, our clients, by working with your budgets, satisfying your taste buds and making your dreams a reality!

Lead Pastry Chef – Austin Location

Hey everyone!  First things first…. Big thanks to my wonderful family for all of their support and for always believing in me and in my artisctic talent. Also another big thanks to a great colleague and a wonderful friend who I am really looking forward to working with Jennifer Payton.

A little bit about myself. My name is Rocio Andrea Escobar. I have WAY too many nicknames but the one I use the most is Rosie. I think the three words that best decribe my work are-

Sophisticated, Simplicity, Unique

I graduated high school in 2006 and enrolled in Le Courdon Bleu in 2007 where I specialized in Patesserie and Baking. I instantly feel in love with cakes! I have always had a passion for designing and creating and I also have a strong passion for food. With that being said how perfect is this business for me right?? I graduated Magna Cum Laude and had wonderful recommendation from my Chef instructors. I strongly believe that everyone has a talent and is meant to do something in life. Mine is expressing myself in wonderful unique cake designs and making any occasion memorable.  I definitely look forward to helping and creating wonderful desserts and memories around the Austin area!
